At Forest View, we are proud to have a variety of cultures represented!
To support families that are relatively new to the American school system, we would like to start a Cultural Ambassador program.
Cultural Ambassadors are parents who can represent their culture by supporting others who have questions or would like to learn more about how the American and/or Forest View school system works. We plan to meet a few times during this school year, depending on the need.
If you are an experienced parent and would like to support fellow parents as a Cultural Ambassador, please contact Ali Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
NEW CELL PHONE POLICY
The use of cell phones in the classroom can distract students from instruction, yet can be important to have accessible in case of emergency. With this in mind, the district has adopted a new policy 3246 and procedure 3246P which prohibits cell phone use in the classroom while still providing access for students in case of emergency.
Elementary school students who choose to bring cell phones to school may only use them before or after the school day. During the school day, they must be powered off and stored (e.g., in the student’s backpack, locker, other district provided storage). This policy includes cell phones and cellular connected watches (for example Gizmo watches). There will be storage in the classroom so, in the event of an emergency, the cell phones will be accessible without leaving the classroom.
Students are responsible for the PEDs they bring to school. Everett Public Schools shall not be responsible for loss, theft, damage or destruction of devices brought onto school property or to school-sponsored activities or events off school property.

ATTENTION FOREST VIEW ELEMENTARY VOLUNTEERS
All volunteers need to complete new applications before volunteering at school. Every parent and community member must complete this new application that just went live this week. This new application includes a new background check. To find information and an application on the district web page, please click here. We are incredibly grateful for the thousands of volunteer hours that our community gives us each year!
If your student is absent from school, please email the attendance office at email@example.com or call the attendace line at (425) 385-7905 to let us know the following:
If you leave a voicemail, please provide a written note or email within 30 days of your student’s first day back to school.
Please view the Attendance Reporting tab for additional important information.
Did you have a medical appointment for your child, or was your child sick and you brought them to the doctor? If so, make sure to ask for a medical note that you can turn in to the attendance office. Those absences can then be coded as a medical excuse.
Forest View Elementary school provides rigorous and aligned instruction in order to foster flexible thinkers prepared to address the demands of a 21st century global community. We pursue collaborative solutions to ensure the growth of all students.
