I am excited to begin another year teaching first grade! My past teaching experiences have included teaching first grade for fourteen years (thirteen years at Silver Firs) and teaching all-day kindergarten for four years. I graduated from Western Washington University in 1997 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and English.
Some facts about me: I share a condo with my sister. I am the oldest of four siblings. I am the proud auntie of an awesome eighteen year old nephew and two adorable nieces, eleven and nine years old. I am excited to welcome a new nephew in November. Some of my favorite things include: spending time with family and friends, reading books, Starbucks lattes, chocolate, scary movies, Jazzercise class, watching sporting events (particularly my nephew and nieces games and the Seahawks), and traveling. This summer I enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, and a trip to San Francisco.
I feel so lucky to teach at Silver Firs! Through the years I have met many wonderful families and I am always wowed by the fabulous children I get to work with. I love greeting old friends and making new ones, so please don't hesitate to stop by the classroom to say hello.
