Meet the Teacher Librarian

  • Sarah Lim

I believe the library is the heart of an elementary school and I hope our students find it to be a safe, inclusive space where they can bring their curiosity, wonder, imagination and discover books to expand their world! My love of reading took off when I was 8 years old when my dad bought me a copy of Ramona Quimby, age 8 by Beverly Cleary.  I'm still an avid reader today and love all genres, most especially historical fiction and biographies.

This is my 14th year of teaching, and all but 2 of them have been in Everett Public Schools.  All 3 of my children attended Cedarwood Elementary and I have fond memories of being an Art Docent, room parent, and PTA volunteer before returning to the classroom again after a significant break to be home with my children.

I grew up in Los Angeles, CA and attended UCLA and received my Master's degree in Education and Social Policy along with my teaching certification from Northwestern University in Chicago.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, travel, and exploring all things food related.

You can find more library information by exploring this page and my Canvas Library course.
