    Hello Tambark Creek Families! Welcome back to school. I am pleased to welcome you back to the 2024-25 school year and a special welcome goes out to our newest families to Tambark Creek. 

     

    We are excited to see our Everett Ready students, families, and staff members this week. The students will be practicing going to school as a kindergartner. I am looking forward to seeing the students’ smiling faces. Leo our mountain lion mascot, will be visiting the kinder classrooms during Everett Ready. We look forward to seeing our newest kindergarten families at our kindergarten orientation event on August 22nd at 5:30. If you attended the kindergarten orientation last May then you do not need to attend the one on Aug. 22nd. You will be meeting with your child’s teacher for Washington Kindergarten Inventory of Developing Skills (WaKIDS) conferences during Sept. 4th, 5th, or 6th. Kindergartners don’t start school until September 9th. 

     

    We will also be excited to see our 1st grade through 5th grade families and students on September 3rd at our annual meet and greet beginning at 4:30. Please feel free to bring your student’s supplies to this event. During our meet and greet families may stop by our cafeteria to add money to your child’s lunch number. Mrs. Deb, our kitchen manager, will be there to help you with this.  

     

    Your child’s classroom teacher announcement will be available through Home Access Center (HAC) on August 30st after 12:00PM. Please follow the directions on the attached form to access information in the HAC.  

     

    The district will be using “ParentSquare” for all their communication. This will include any communication from the principal and teachers to families. There is information regarding “ParentSquare” on the district website for parents to view.  It is an easy friendly system for communicating.  Link to ParentSquare information.  Throughout the school year, I will send out communication to all families via phone calls, voice messages, monthly parent newsletters and text messages all through the “ParentSquare” App. Please let the office staff know if you are not receiving them. 

     

    Tambark Creek’s school day begins at 9:10 and dismissal is at 3:30. Every LIF (Learning Improvement Friday) Friday is a 2:15 dismissal. 

     

    At Tambark Creek all students are required to wear a uniform. Please see the attachment for uniform guidelines and options.  

     

    Our Tambark Creek PTSA is working closely with the administrators and staff to provide family and student events, fundraisers and more. We will post all future events as well as information about ordering our TCE spirit wear on Tambark Creek website and Facebook page.  https://www.everettsd.org/tambarkcreek 

      

    Important Dates 

    • September 3rd 1st through 5th grade “Meet and Greet” 4:30-5:30-This is a great time to bring your school supplies 

    • September 4th first day of school for 1st-5th grades 

    • September 4th, 5th & 6th Kinder parent/teacher meetings (the teacher will schedule these with each parent) 

    • September 9th first day for kindergarten 

    • September 26th Curriculum Night 5:30-7:00
