Everett Public Schools is offering Transitional Kindergarten this winter for children who are not currently in an early learning program and are scheduled to enter kindergarten in the fall of 2020. Students will be screened in early January and may qualify based on need. The program will focus on basic academic, social, and self-help skills to jumpstart qualifying students toward success in school. Click link for more information.
The pathway has been re-engineered to better accommodate the existing topography. With the pathway engineering complete, a land surveyor has been hired to provide a survey and legal description of the pathway. The survey and legal description should be complete by the end of October. This information is required by both Seattle City Light for its easement, and by Snohomish County planning for plan review and permitting. The duration for Snohomish County to perform plan review and permitting of the proposed pathway is unknown at this time. Construction of the pathway will proceed when permits have been received from the county and when the easement agreement has been negotiated with Seattle City Light. Construction of the pathway is contingent on good weather.
