What is the KIT Program?
The Everet
t Public Schools KIT (Kids In Transition) program implements the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act.
The McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act of 1987 provides support for homeless children and youth to continue their education without interruption or barriers. If your family is homeless, or if you are in a temporary living situation due to economic circumstances, your preschool-aged and school-aged children have certain rights or protections under federal law.For more information, please see EPS's KIT website: https://www.everettsd.org/Page/5968
Please contact me at 425.385.6510 or by email at knunnally-hirata@everettsd.org if you think you may qualify for the KIT program. I can help connect you with our District's KIT coordinator to determine eligbility.
