• What will my child learn in library? 

    This year in the library, students will learn about different genres through read alouds, research, and book checkout. We will cover digital citizenship, where students will learn how to use technology safely and in ways that promote learning. Students will learn how to use the library tools to search and find a book to checkout.

    How many books may my child check out every week?

    Students are allowed to check out 2 books every week.

    When are library books due?

    Books checked out should be returned the following week during your child's library time. If your child would like to renew a book and keep it for another week, they may bring it to the library with them during their classes' library time to renew it. 

    How can I encourage my child to check out books on different topics? 

    Exploring our school library catalog together is a great way to encourage your child discover new genres. Use the 'destiny library catalog' to search for books at our school library. You can also place holds for your child if you would like to reserve a book.
