This is my 19th year of teaching at Cascade High School. I love being a Bruin!
I am looking forward to working with you this year as we learn to communicate with basic Spanish language skills. The best means of staying connected will be through email and/or Canvas. I am excited to start another year at CHS with a group of fantastic new students.
My education: I graduated from Willamette University in 2005 with a bachelor of arts in Spanish and a minor in Math. I continued my education at Willamette University the following year and graduated in 2006 with a Master of Arts in Teaching. During my time at Willamette I had the opportunity to study abroad in Quito, Ecuador for a semester. This sparked my love of the culture and customs the Spanish language embodies and since then I have returned to various countries in South and Central America several times to continue exploring. I LOVE teaching Spanish because it is so rich with possibilities and opportunities!Willamette also gave me the opportunity to participate in athletics at the collegiate level. I was a member of the Bearcat Tennis Team for 4 years, finishing my college career at #1 doubles and #3 singles. I have continued playing tennis competitively through USTA and I am now hoping to inspire others to play on the Cascade Bruin Tennis team as the head coach of the girls tennis team.My interests include anything and everything that is tennis, traveling, cycling, snow skiing, running and reading.Mrs. Femrite
