Welcome Parents, Guardians, Family Members, and Students,

I wanted to first let you all know that in this unprecedented time of uncertainty, you should take the time to care for one another and stay healthy in mind, body, soul, and spirit. Be mindful of one another's needs and realize that we are all in this together. I believe we as a community will come out stronger and have a better appreciation for one another. This is an important time as we can still continue to learn, grow, and develop in numerous ways. We will not stop living life but continue to persevere and find that intrinsic motivation to better ourselves in as many ways as possible. I am continuing my commitment to teach and reach out to provide support, resources, and opportunities to engage in learning and the enrichment of our children. My expectation is to help all of my students in as many different ways as possible. We are lucky to live in an era where we can still participate and interact through the use of technology and not skip a beat. I will offer an array of different multifaceted ways to interact and access content intended to enhance their English skills.

I am learning that I can communicate and continue to educate in an amazingly different capacity. In a strange way, this is preparing our children for what the future of learning and working may look like for them in our constantly evolving world of rapid change. We will take this challenging experience and transform it into a new set of skills and be able to build upon the acquisition of these newfound abilities.

I will be teaching with our curriculum daily/weekly and will be assigning relevant, challenging, and standards-based activities/content that will focus on reading, written expression, and critical thinking. I have and will continue to design lessons and provide materials that will educate and engage your child.

I will continue to use SpringBoard for our online core curriculum combined with other forms of writing & research but I will also encompass Canvas, Remind, Zoom, email, and calling you directly to ensure that we are always connected and in contact. Please reach out to me at dmorrison@everettsd.org, if you haven't heard from me via these numerous forms I have listed above.

Please go to the Helpful Resources tab on my page to access all of the links to a vast array of imperative sites crucial to furthering your child's success in MOD English (Content and Curriculum).

See the COURSE EXPECTATIONS tab for online learning goals.

Thank you for your support, patience, and understanding.

    Sincerely,

    Damon Morrison
