Advanced Placement (AP) Programs
Advanced Placement is a program run by College Board that allows you to take high school courses that can earn you college credit and/or qualify you for more advanced classes when you begin college.
Students self-select these courses and should be prepared to work at a college-level pace. At the end of the course, students are encouraged to take the AP exam which is managed by College Board (click link to take you to College Board website).
AP exams are highly recognized by colleges and universities. Each college decides which AP exam grades it will accept for credit or placement.
