Welcome to the 2025 Cascade Cross-Country Team!
Where we hope you will find your passion for running! Cross Country is a non cut sport and we welcome all levels of atheletes. We as a staff are looking forward to another season. Please email Coach Landro if you have any questions. Slandro@everettsd.org
We will have practices during June and July. Those dates will be posted on Parentsquare. You all should start to do some running a couple weeks after track season.
The official start of practices is on August 26. I hope your out there running and getting ready for a great season. We have included the first 2 weeks of a practice schedule. We will update as we go. There will be an activity bus to take students home after practice at 4:30 Monday to Thursday on school days.
We are still working on the fall schedule it will be posted in June.
The program is open to any student in grades 9-12 that would like to run for whatever reason. (Fun, Friends, or Fitness!)
Attention Parents/Guardians/Athletes -
We will be using the Parent Square app to communicate this season.
Reminder - You need 7 practices in order to be eligible to compete! This is a new lower requirement than we have had in the past.
Find someone in our school who you feel would be a nice addition to our team, or someone who you feel would benefit from being around exceptional people like yourselves! We work hard but we have lots of fun as a group and team. We will have a meet this year over in Leavenworth, Washington! We used to go to this meet every year but haven't in recent years It will ge a great day and meet for us.
We will be continuing with our athlete of the meet. After each race, we will pick an Athlete of the Meet. The criteria for consideration are the "4 A's of Excellence - Attendance, Attitude, Academics & Athletic Performance". The coaches will pick the Athlete of the Meet following each race. Recipients will receive a certificate at our end-of-the-season Awards Banquet.
One of the fun things we do is have a Saturday fun day of running. Your families are invited to join in the run and we follow it with a breakfast potluck.
