Hello Mustang Families! I am excited to be your Silver Lake Elementary teacher-librarian. A little about my background, I taught for five years in Montana—one year of fifth grade and four years in a 5/6th grade split. I moved to Washington in 2019 and taught fifth grade at Silver Lake for five years. In 2023, I finished my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU and finished my library endorsement from the University of Montana Western. Starting in the fall of 2024, I switched from teaching in the classroom to being the librarian. It has been an adventure ever since!

 

I have always had a love of reading and books. I'm looking forward to spreading that love of reading to Silver Lake students. This year, students will learn how to navigate the library, find just the right books, and learn informational literacy skills.
