Hello Mustang Families! I am excited about being your new teacher-librarian. This is my eleventh year of teaching, but my first year as a librarian. I taught for five years in Montana-one year of fifth grade and four years in a 5/6th grade split. I moved to Washington in 2019 and have taught fifth grade at Silver Lake for the last five years. Last year, I finished my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU and finished my library endorsement from the University of Montana Western. I'm looking forward to applying that knowledge in the library.

 

I have always had a love of reading and books. I'm looking forward to spreading that love of reading to Silver Lake students. This year, students will learn how to navigate the library, find just the right books, and learn informational literacy skills.
