Silver Lake's Teacher LibrarianGreetings! I am super excited to be the Teacher Librarian at Silver Lake Elementary! One of the reasons I became a teacher (and now a librarian) was so that students will always know they are capable of learning. All things are possible with hard work and determination! As a child, I didn't like reading. I read slowly and I thought that meant I wasn't smart or a good reader. Now, I am reading all the time! I love being the teacher-librarian because I get to share my love of reading with the students of Silver Lake Elementary every day.I love living in the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in this area. I went to Edmonds-Woodway High School. I graduated from Gonzaga University in 2002 with a degree in Spanish and Sociology. GO ZAGS! I received my Masters-in-Teaching from Seattle University in 2004. I have been at SLE since 2004, and this is my sixth year in the library.Cerra Sand, Silver Lake Elementary Teacher-Librarian
