• What if the book I check out is offensive to me?

    Posted by:

If you do not like the book, please return it to the library and select another.  I am sure you understand that every book is not the best choice for every student.  Reading is a joy and it is my pleasure to help you find good books that you will enjoy.  However, you and your parents know better than I do what library materials are best for you and your beliefs.  Please feel free to talk with me about the book and your concerns.

  • What if I accidentally damage a book?

Please tell us right away if the book has been damaged or has loose pages.  First, we will try to repair the book.  Although we appreciate your help in repairing, it is best if you let us make the necessary repairs.  If we are unable to repair the book then you have two options: you can pay for its replacement or you can find the same title in reasonable condition (hard back must be replaced with a hard back).

  • What if I have an overdue book?

    Posted by:

Library materials are checked out depending on your grade level (K and 1st check out one book, 2nd grade checks out two books, and so on, and all check out times are for two weeks). Students may also renew each item twice.  If you have been given an overdue notice by your teacher or the school, please return the item immediately for renewal or turn-in.  Students with more than 2 overdue books will not be allowed to check out additional materials until the items are returned.

  • How do I borrow books and other library material?

    Posted by:

Books and other library materials may be checked out during library hours with teacher permission.  Also, every class has a regularly scheduled time each week to visit the library.  Students will need to know their student number in order to check out materials.
