   Hello Fifth Grade Families! I am very excited to get to know all of you this year. This will be my third year at Cedar Wood Elementary, as well as my third year teaching 5th grade. 

   I graduated from WSU (Go Cougs) with a Bachelor's Degree in History. I then worked as a substitute teacher in the Everett School District, before returning to WSU to get a Master in Teaching. My hobbies include golfing (and most sports), camping, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.

   My goal for the year is to not only teach academic content, but also to help students learn and develop skills that will benefit them for years to come. Life is about more than just fractions, after all! Throughout the year, I will be posting helpful links, upcoming events, and other relevant information on this site. My goal is to provide families with clarity on what is happening in class and at Cedar Wood throughout the school year.
