Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to Cedar Wood Elementary! My name is Chloe Ames and I am thrilled to be teaching your child in fifth grade this year.

Prior to Cedar Wood, I led the 5th grade team at the district's Everett Virtual Academy. I've taught students across 2nd-5th grade, in both private and public schools. 

I completed my Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction at Western Governors University, and I received my Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies with endorsements in elementary education and multilingual learning/ESOL at the University of Washington.

Outside of the classroom, I love to hike, play pickleball, and paddleboard. I also enjoy reading and trying new recipes.

I look forward to an engaging year full of learning and growth!
