Welcome to another year at North MS!
My name is Christine Phippard, and I am very excited to have your student in 6th/7th/8th grade STEM electives. I have been teaching at North MS for the last 14 years, and have had the pleasure of teaching science, robotics, and STEM. I also am proud to have piloted the first middle school level robotics elective in the district many years ago, and to be able to continue to offer LEGO robotics as a course here at North. Additionally, I coach our FIRST Lego League Robotics team (the N.E.R.D.S.) which has grown by leaps and bounds over the last six years.
I graduated from the University of Washington in 2005 with a bachelor of science degree in Zoology and in Ecology. I specialized in neurobiology and wildlife biology. I earned my Masters in teaching in Biology and General Science from Seattle Pacific University in 2007. I earned my National Board Certification for Professional Teaching in Early Adolescent Science in 2011. I am currently working on adding a credential in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Career and Technical Education to my teaching certificate.
I am a proud member of the North Everett community, and I live in the Riverside neighborhood with my husband (David), my two children (Hollis- 9 years and Rayleigh- 7 years)- Garfield and Whittier students, my dog (Laika, 15 years old), and our four chickens.
