Welcome to Madison—Home of the Huskies!   

I am Dr. Finley.  It is my pleasure to be your interim principal while Dr. Gideon is on maternity leave.  Becoming a mom is an amazing, life-changing experience and we wish her our very best.  Her great work will continue to move forward, and she will return to Madison mid-January as principal. 

If you are new or returning to Madison, please know, Madison is a learning community of skilled, dedicated professionals whose focus is growth for every child, every day.  When students are not at Madison, we are planning and preparing for them.  When students are at Madison, we are with them and engaging their minds, hearts, and bodies in the learning, which, as you know, can result in some tired students and staff at the end of the day!  Elementary school is a foundational time where habits are formed that will serve students for a lifetime.  At Madison every minute and every day is critical for learning.  Like a garden, daily sunlight and water matters for continual growth.   Regular attendance is like sunlight and water, it gives each student the opportunity to grow to their fullest potential.  Please let us know how we can partner with you, if there are barriers to regular attendance.

Working together on behalf of our students is what we do.  We know raising families does not come with an instruction manual and life moves fast.  Fortunately, when it comes to education, we are your partner in your child’s learning.  Please follow our Twitter @EPS_MadisonES, monthly newsletter, and webpage to stay connected, if you have a question, would like to visit/volunteer, or are just not sure, call or email us. Or, when you see me at morning arrival or dismissal, please say hello and introduce yourself.  Questions related to your child, start with their teacher, they work closest with them day to day.  However, if the question relates to attendance those questions or information go directly to the Madison attendance line or office team. 

We look forward to our continued partnership and getting to know you.  Meeting the families of our students is such a joy, as you are the people who are so important in the lives of our students.  You are in their smiles, stories, and learning every day.
