Hello Kindergarten families!
I'm Mrs. Nguyen (formerly Miss Hartwich). I am very excited to have your kindergartener in my class this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and development. Kindergarten is such an exciting year and is personally, my favorite grade to teach. If at ever you have questions or concerns, please contact me! I look forward to working with you this year and making sure your kindergartener has the best year!
COVID 19 Update:
Wow Kindergarten families! You continue to amaze me! This has been quite a difficult time and I appreciate all the support you have provided your kindergartener. I absolutely love seeing your child at our weekly meetings (Monday's and Thursday's at 1pm). While we are learning in a different environment, we are definitely still learning. I am noticing your child's brain getting "juicy and big" in the time spent with me and am amazed at both you and your child's hard work and determination to continue down the path of learning.
Please continue to check out our class website as each week new learning activities are being posted. While we are learning in our weekly meetings, please select a few additional activites for your kindergartener to work on, each day. Please also continue to send me pictures of your child- it makes me SO happy to see them!
I am here for YOU and your family. If ever you need support or even just want to chat, please text/email me.
Stay healthy and happy!

Degrees and Certifications:
Elementary Education (K-6) ELL endorsed Library Media endorsed Instructional Technology (k-12)
I was born in Delaware and grew up in Florida. I attended the University of North Florida (Jacksonville, FL) and earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-6) as well as my Master's degree in Instructional Technology. I also earned my ELL endorsement.
I moved to Washington in 2008. I enjoy teaching, but really enjoy the fact that education is ever changing. There is really no better feeling than seeing a student of mine having a "light bulb" moment, where they are mastering something that was taught. I believe in building a positive mindset in my classroom and work hard to make sure my students know I believe in them, and they will achieve what they set their minds on!
