Welcome to Ms. Hill's Class

  • Head shot

My name is Tricia Hill and I am the music teacher at Woodside Elementary School!  This will be my 13th year of teaching elementary general music in the public schools, and my 9th year at Woodside!  I am originally from Colorado where I spent my first two years of teaching in Denver.  When my husband attended medical school, I moved to Charleston, South Carolina where I taught for two more years while enjoying some delicious Southern food and sandy beaches. I am thrilled to have ended up in Washington where Woodside has become my home!

I received my Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder (GO BUFFS!) and my Masters in Music with a Kodaly emphasis from Colorado State University.  I am always eager to explore new ideas in teaching and continue my learning as an educator so I can provide the best learning for my students.

My goal as the music teacher at Woodside is to explore all aspects of music so every child has a positive experience and not only loves music, but develops a lifelong appreciation for it as a form of art.  My classroom is very active and involves movement, singing games, instrument exploration, creative thinking, and much more!

During my free time I enjoy playing with my 2 year old, Nora, exploring new restaurants, cooking, hiking, biking, gardening, and reading!
