Welcome to Mrs. Frederickson's website!
My family and I have been long-time residents of the Everett area, and I have been an actively involved parent in the Everett School District since 1992: volunteering in classrooms, holding numerous PTA positions, I'm a founding member of the Jackson High School Band Boosters, and I've worked as a para-educator in a developmental kindergarten class. I received my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences from the University of Washington, Bothell campus in 2005, as well as my Teacher's Certification in 2006. I received my Master of Education in June, 2012 from which university ... guess ...! I am a die-hard Husky fan (GO DAWGS!) and my classroom contains many Husky-related items!I hold a strong philosophy about teaching the whole child, not just the subject matter. I believe this is especially important at the middle school grades, when students are beginning to explore who they are in the world. With a background in Human Rights I dovetail the teaching of mathematics with the right of every child to receive an education. I believe that children are worthy and valuable and, more importantly, capable of reaching high standards with high expectations.I look forward to partnering with families and students as we continue on this journey of life-long learning.Liz Frederickson, M.Ed.Evergreen Middle School, Room #216
