Welcome to Mrs. Frederickson's website!

  • Mrs. Frederickson
My family and I have been long-time residents of the Everett area, and I have been an actively involved parent in the Everett School District since 1992: volunteering in classrooms, holding numerous PTA positions, I'm a founding member of the Jackson High School Band Boosters, and I've worked as a para-educator in a developmental kindergarten class. I received my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences from the University of Washington, Bothell campus in 2005, as well as my Teacher's Certification in 2006. I received my Master of Education in June, 2012 from which university ... guess ...! I am a die-hard Husky fan (GO DAWGS!) and my classroom contains many Husky-related items!
I hold a strong philosophy about teaching the whole child, not just the subject matter. I believe this is especially important at the middle school grades, when students are beginning to explore who they are in the world. With a background in Human Rights I dovetail the teaching of mathematics with the right of every child to receive an education. I believe that children are worthy and valuable and, more importantly, capable of reaching high standards with high expectations.
I look forward to partnering with families and students as we continue on this journey of life-long learning.
