Hello Woodside Families, and welcome!
My name is Christina Parry, and this is my fourth year teaching Developmental Kindergarten at Woodside! Go Toucans! I am not only a teacher, I am also a parent to three children in the Everett public school district; one in Elementary school, one in Middle school, and one in High school. I believe all children are entitled to the best learning opportunities available, and I work to ensure learning is equitable and accessible for all learners who enter my classroom.
I am very excited to have your child in my class this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning, exploration, academic growth, and social development. This year is going to be a great one! Please visit the district website for information and updates on our school, our district, and any current Covid guidelines. Updates will also be sent to families via email, so please check your email for important information, as well as digital tools/resources available to students and families during this time.
Please visit the links provided on the right-hand side of this welcome page for school and district provided digital resources. The District Learning Engagement Tools is a link for parents to access resources and learning activities created by the district curriculum department. The Woodside Student Tools link gives parents access to all K-5 learning tool links. District Student Tools allows access to all District student tools and resources for grades K-12.
I will also be preparing fun, stimulating lessons and activities meant to help keep growing minds learning new concepts and developing new ideas. In Kindergarten, learning looks like playing, exploring, asking questions, communicating ideas, and developing positive social relationships with peers. Learning doesn't stop in the classroom! Educational opportunities in the home look like playing a board game, cooking a meal together, assembling a puzzle, reading stories aloud, or going through family photos and talking about your family history. Education is everywhere!
I am available by email at cparry@everettsd.org, and will check and reply to my emails daily. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns! Your familiy's insight is important, and I will work to answer any questions or concerns you might have!
Toucan do it!
