¡Hola!
Mi nombre es Karin Wieland. Nací y crecí en Caracas, Venezuela. Sin embargo, ya llevo varios años viviendo en los Estados Unidos con mi hija de 25 años y nuestro perrito “Bart”.
Mi primer título universitario fue una licenciatura en Educación (Mención Preescolar). También tengo una maestría en Desarrollo Humano y Estudios de Familia (con una especialización en Desarrollo Infantil) y otra en Enseñando Inglés a Hablantes de Otros Idiomas. En estos momentos me encuentro estudiando para obtener un doctorado en Educación.
He estado trabajando como educadora (en Venezuela y en los Estados Unidos) por más de 20 años. He tenido la oportunidad de trabajar con estudiantes desde el nivel preescolar hasta el nivel universitario.
Estoy feliz de formar parte del equipo de la Escuela Primaria Emerson y emocionada de ser la maestra de su estudiante y de ver todo lo que aprenderemos juntos.

My name is Karin Wieland. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. However, I have been living in the United States for quite a few years now. I live with my 25-year-old daughter and our dog “Bart.”
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a couple of Master’s Degrees: one in Human Development and Family Studies (specialization in Child Development) and one in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Currently, I’m pursuing a Doctorate in Education.
I have been working as an educator (in Venezuela and in the United States) for more than 20 years. I have had the opportunity to work with students from preschool to college.
I am very happy to be a part of Emerson Elementary School and very excited to be your student’s Kindergarten teacher. I cannot wait to see how much we learn together!
