• March - Optimism

Jefferson students engage in character education through a monthly study of a specific character trait. Traits that will be taught this year include kindness, responsibility, gratitude, empathy, growth mindset, courage, optimism, teamwork, respect, and integrity. Our schoolwide theme this month is optimism. Optimism is believing there are brighter days ahead. This does not mean there won't be hard days; it's believing that even when there are hard days, they will not last forever. Here is a great resource for families on fostering optimism in children.
