Welcome to First Grade!My name is Melissa Allen. I am very excited to have you in my class this year! I am looking forward to a year full of growth, learning, and development. I am committed to making sure all students feel safe, welcomed, valued, and heard! In our classroom, we will work together to learn how to be kind to everyone and always persevere in everything we do.
About Mrs. Allen
I graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor's in Education for Inclusive Environments along with an endorsement in Special Education. I was born and raised in Anaheim, California. I have been living in Washington for 7 years now. I am a proud first generation Latina who appreciates everything my parents did to help me get here today. During my free time, I love to do word searches, go on walks, play Minecraft, play with my cats, read, and color in my coloring books!
This is my second year teaching first grade. It is my first year teaching at Emerson! I can't wait to start a fun school year!
