Author Justin Dean Visiting Cedar Wood October 1!

Author Justin Dean Awesome Dog 5000

Justin Dean, author of the brand new book, Awesome Dog 5000, will be visiting our third through fifth graders on Tuesday morning, October 1, for an hour long presentation focused on getting kids excited about storytelling and the importance of reading.  The multi-media keynote will include slides, videos, illustrations, interactive storytelling, and a live drawing demonstration!

Students have an opportunity to purchase an autographed copy of his book for $15.46, tax included.  A blue order form will be sent home with students.   If you need another form, please click here.

The order form is due by Wednesday, September 25.  Students will receive their autographed copy sometime after the assembly on Tuesday.

We would really like to thank Jessica Perez, manager of University Bookstore in Mill Creek, for bringing us this author and many others in the past.  Unfortunately, this will be our last author visit from University Bookstore since they will be closing their doors for good on October 19.  I will personally really miss this amazing bookstore and the community connections that went along with it.  We thank Jessica for always reaching out with authors and other community events.  You will be sorely missed!!!

      Reading with Rover

Reading with Rover will continue this year and will take place from 3:30 - 4:30 on the second Tuesday of every month beginning in October.  A email will be sent to all families on the Thursday before these events so you can sign up for a spot online.

Thank you to Mrs. Withington and all of our amazing volunteers and their dogs!
