My name is Ellen Bye and I teach 4th grade at Jefferson Elementary. I grew up in Everett and attended Silver Firs Elementary, Gateway Middle School, and Jackson High School. I am happy to be teaching in the district that gave me such a great start in my life-long love of learning. This is my second year teaching 4th grade at Jefferson, I taught 3rd grade for the two years prior. Every year I look forward to all I will learn from my students, families and colleagues. The best way to reach me is by emailing at EBye@everettsd.org, I will respond within 24 hours.
While schools are closed for the remainder of the year, I will have limited access to my work phone, but will listen to messages as often as possible. Contacting me through email will be the best option. Students can communicate with me through Google Classroom (Questions for Mrs. Bye) or email. I will be updating Google Classroom on a daily basis with enrichment and learning opportunities. Email me if you need our class code. Please see the link on the right for more information regarding learning opportunities during this time. I look forward to staying connected with my students and families during this unprecedented time.
(Update 4/1/2020) Thank you for those of you who ensure that your child logs into Google Classroom each day! Fourth grade is advancing learning in math at this time. Each week a new lesson is being posted to Google Classroom and practice opportunities are being offered each day. We have a (weekly) standing Zoom meeting as a class on Mondays at 10:00AM (there will be no meeting April 6th to account for spring break). You can find the link to the Zoom meeting on our stream page of Google classroom each Monday morning. Please let me know if you prefer the link emailed to your family and I am happy to do so! Hang in there, together we can do this!
