    Brain Pop Jr. - Animated curriculum based content that is aligned to academic standards. Although more benefits are included in a paid subscription, many resources are still free including mini-movies, graphic organizers, vocabulary, fill in the blanks.

    My Story Maker- There are lots of story makers out there, but this one is a cut above. It was developed by graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University to increase literacy rates among young children while appealing to their fast-moving media lifestyles.

     

    Wordle - Wordle is a toy for generating word clouds from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. Students can use Wordle to create wordpoetry, turn an essay into a poster, practice spelling words, brainstorm a list, type a speech, etc.
