Thursday, Jan. 16, all schools in Everett Public Schools will start 2 hours late due to weather conditions. There will be no AM ECEAP. Buses will run on snow routes due to snow and ice conditions and there will be no out of district transportation. Watch media reports and the district’s website for information about the next school day’s schedule. If there is no announcement, schools will operate on a normal schedule. Please stay warm and safe.

Our goal is to have fun playing pick-up soccer after school. Mr. Messina will be coaching the club on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:05-3:10 pm, an activity bus will be available for students to ride home. Thursday, January 23rd will be the first day of practice if weather permits. Remember, bad weather conditions could cancel playtime.

Evergreen MS is a closed campus from 30 minutes after school ends until 4:30pm each day—it is only an open campus after 4:30 pm to allow for evening sports to occur. We expect every student to promptly leave campus at the end of each day, unless the student is staying for an after school program that is supervised by an adult, like Study Club or an extra-curricular activity. The students participating in after school clubs or study club may take the Activity Bus home at 3:10 pm. Students that participate in sports may take the Athletic Bus home at 4:30 pm. If your student is not involved in athletics, then they should not return to school at 4:30 to meet with friends. Our #1 priority is student safety and therefore prefer for them to be home when it is dark, cold, and school-related activities are done.

The KNOW HIV/STD Prevention Education and “GET REAL” Sex Education will be taught in two sessions this year beginning with Session 1 in Feb/March and Session 2 in May.
