• Himstedt We're off to a great start for a wonderful 2019-2020 school year!  I am excited to continue working with our students and families as well as our outstanding faculty and staff.
This is my 15th year as an educator, my 11th year as a school counselor.  I began my career as a middle school science teacher and then became a high school counselor in Texas.  I then moved to Georgia and worked as an elementary school counselor for six years.  Now I am happy to be here enjoying life in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Earth Science from Baylor University, a Masters of Education in Counseling from Texas State University, and an Education Specialist degree in Counseling from the University of West Georgia.
An interesting fact about me is that I spent most of my childhood in Brazil and I speak Portuguese as well.  Outside of school I enjoy triathlon, jiu jitsu, snowboarding, riding my motorcycle, playing music, and spending time with my wife and daughter.

Please know that I am always available to collaborate with students, parents, and teachers and I look forward to continuing being a part of the wonderful Madison community.
