I am excited to begin another year at Penny Creek. This will be my 9th year teaching at Penny Creek. I'm a little biased but in my opinion Penny Creek is the best school for so many reasons...our families and community are amazing and supporting, the teachers do their best for their students every day, our support staff work so hard to help students be successful, and most importantly, our students are a happy mix of silly, hard working, and kind.

A little bit about myself...

I grew up in a smallish town in southern Washington called Battle Ground. I attended Central Washington University to earn my Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. After graduation I moved to the Puget Sound area and I spent a year and a half focusing on child development with preschoolers before becoming a substitute teacher for the Everett School District. I've worked at almost every elementary school in Everett School District. In 2014 I jumped at an opportunity to teach at Penny Creek, my favorite school.

My husband and I are proud parents of two very active kids, Timmy (6) and Lillie (4) along with a very loving Australian Shepherd named Zoe. 

In the little free time I have, I enjoy reading, going to the beach, watching movies, and taking my kids to various parks.  

First grade is an exciting year! We have many things to learn and explore together. I look forward to getting to know each of you and together we will make this a memorable year!
