Welcome to Mrs. Tibayan's website

  • logo I am very excited to have your student in my class this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and development! For those who do not know me, you can call me Ms. Tibayan and the best way to pronounce my name is by saying Tee-Bye-Yin. I graduated from Central Washington University with two Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, and a minor in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) a double major in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

My passion for teaching derives from one quote by Henry Adams that states, "A teacher affects eternity; you can never know where his or her influence stops". This quote in itself capsulizes why I became a teacher. Teachers have the ability to influence students even after they leave the classroom. By helping students with lifelong knowledge, understanding, skills, and disposition that will shape who they become in the future. With that said, I aspire to be a teacher that inspires and empowers my students to believe in themselves and learn how to take responsibility of their learning.

Weekly Message to C-13 Family & Parents:

    Dear C-13 Families,

Good morning! Thank you to all my families for being patient, communicative, and flexible as I we discovered and solved all the problems that arose during our first trial and error week.

In our Google Classroom, I have assigned a new weekly checklist and weekly materials under the “Classwork” tab, which can be found at the top. This checklist will provide ideas for supports for on the computer and off the computer in every academic subject. Your child or you can track learning completed or give feedback on activities you liked or did not like by adding comments to the speaker notes and submit your progress every Friday. This will allow me to see what supports were engaging, helpful, and not helpful to prepare for the next week.

To submit materials assigned, students will go to “Classwork” and click the item they want to complete, do their work in their student copy, and just press submit. Please email or comment on our Google Classroom if there are any issues with this.

If you have not emailed me to request the weekly checklists and all materials to be sent via personal email, please notify me as soon as possible.

Do not hesitate to email me if you have concerns, questions, and etc.

    Best Regards,

    Ms. Tibayan
