Dear Penny Creek Families and Community Members:
Welcome to the 2019-20 school year. The culture of Penny Creek is one of high standards, inclusion, and kindness. Penny Creek staff members focus on the well-being of every child and support each one in their academic as well as their social and emotional growth.
An initiative we take seriously is our Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) initiative, or Penny Creek PRIDE, as we like to say. PRIDE represents the following:
In control and safe
Do your best
We teach students how to demonstrate these behaviors throughout the school and we find many ways to recognize all the positive behaviors of Penny Creek students. As the year progresses, ask your child about Penny Creek Pride tickets, what they mean, and how to earn them.
We want to partner with you! You are welcome to volunteer and attend the many family events we hold each year. If you have questions about how to get involved, or want to discuss any concerns, please reach out to us.
At Penny Creek, we strive to help more kids learn more and to make school one of the most important parts of their day.
