• How I arrived in Education:

I was born and raised in Washington. I grew up in Enumclaw and moved up to Seattle where I attended the University of Washington. I graduated with a degree in Sociocultural Anthropology and began my first career as a sales professional and trainer in the automotive industry. This was an exciting time of my life and I enjoyed my time in the sales world for nearly 10 years, meeting my lovely wife Kim along the way. Meeting her exposed me to the education world and I eventually decided this was what I wanted to do with my life. I quit my job and went back to school at Seattle University where I earned my Masters in Education. I completed my student teaching in the Edmonds School District before finding my new home in Everett Public Schools. I entered education with the hope to change students' lives for the better while helping to prepare them for the real world and teach them grit and the importance of never giving up.

    Outside of my Teaching Life:

At home, my life centers around my beautiful wife Kim, our daughter Emme, our son Kai, and our dog Mika. We love to take road trips, eat every type of food under the sun, and explore new places that we haven't experienced before. Taking our two kiddos swimming, hiking, or just hanging out at a park is usually how I spend my evenings and weekends.

When I get a break from the family, you will find me doing any and all outdoor activities I can find - my love for the outdoors and driving are two of my passions. Mountain biking, snowboarding, rafting, skydiving, hiking, swimming, fishing, hunting - You name it, I am down to do it!
