Please check the Class Calendar and click on the header on individual calendar dates to see details for each week. Additionally, refer to weekly emails from me for information about each week's assignments.

For an idea of what middle schoolers' educational day might look like, check out the COVID Daily Schedule tab.

Each week will consist of two major components: online practice (via Khan Academy), and a Problem of the Day (POD) (weeks 2-4)/Problems of the Week (POW) (weeks 5-13). Students should submit responses via email to recieve teacher feedback. We will also be engaging in weekly Zoom meeting sessions, where students will engage in live instruction, can check in with myself and their peers, and are able to ask questions about posted content. Invitations to recurring Zoom sessions have been sent via email. Zooms will occur by period, according to the COVID Daily Schedule. Occassionally, I may also post links to optional videos/activities that students can watch to help strengthen their understanding of skills.

I will be consistently updating the online gradebook as is consistent with the District's grading guidelines. This will reflect POD/POW submissions and Khan Academy assignments. Students will also be getting a yes/no grade for engagement for each week, measured from Wednesday to Tuesday.

Thank you for visiting my website! I hope that it serves as a useful tool for students and parents alike. I will be updating my website daily with homework and classroom assignments, so please check back often. If there are additional tools or resources you'd like to see on my site, please let me know, as I am open to feedback.

I am ecstatic to be at Eisenhower teaching sixth graders. I've always had a heart for middle school students and a passion for math, so this is truly my dream job. I anticipate a productive year of learning with my students. A little about me: I was born and raised on the island of Kaua'i in Hawai'i, where my entire family still resides. I attended a college-preparatory boarding school in Honolulu from grades 7-12 and upon graduating, moved to Washington to attend the University of Washington. After earning my BA in Sociology, I obtained my Master in Teaching degree and Middle Level Math and Science endorsement from City University, and began teaching in the Seattle School District in 2006. In 2015, I completed my ProTeach portfolio and attained my Professional Certification.
My husband Jared (a middle school STEM teacher in Lake Washington) and I live in Edmonds with our two daughters Kiona (17) and Lynli (8), and our son Kason (4).
Contact me anytime via email at or outside of instructional hours at (425) 385-7602. My workday begins at 7:45 AM and concludes at 3:15 PM.
