 Welcome Back to the 2020 / 2021 School Year and Ms. Anderson's Webpage! 

A little about me; as a way of introducing myself to you, my name is Mary Ann Anderson.  I have been teaching since 2003 when I received my master’s degree in Teaching, concentration in Special Education.  My undergrad degrees are in Economics, English, and Art.  I began my teaching career in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois at an alternative school.  I moved to the State of Washington, in 2007, to continue my teaching career at Everett High School working with students in the Extended Resource Room.  In 2013 I changed from teaching high school to teaching middle school and three years ago the program I was teaching was moved from Heatherwood Middle School to Gateway Middle School. 

I am married and have two wonderful adult children.  Both are married and living in Kentucky.  Currently my daughter is working on her PhD. in Analytical Mathematics, my son is in the teaching field, and my daughter-in-law is pursuing her master’s degree in English.  I enjoy gardening, camping and most things outdoors.
