    Welcome to Mrs. Matheson's class website!  I teach 7th Grade Literacy (Language Arts and Reading), as well as Washington State History (first semester) and World Geography (2nd semester). 

    I graduated from the University of Lethbridge (Alberta, Canada) in 1992 with a Bachelor of Education degree in English and History. I earned my Master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of Victoria in 2002.  I have been teaching at Gateway since 2002.  My husband Dan and I have three wonderful children: Macy, Bryn and Blake.
