A Little About Myself:

 

Before moving to the Seattle area, I lived in Kansas where I was born and raised. I received my Bachelor's in Biology from Kansas State University. While at Kansas State, I worked at Sunset Zoological Park as both an Education Instructor and Assistant zoo keeper. After graduating, I was hired to work for Woodland Park Zoo as an Education Instructor and moved out to the Seattle area with my husband, Rob, who is a Boeing Engineer. During my 5 years at Woodland Park Zoo, I also worked part time as a veterinary technician at a local veterinary hospital.

 

In 2011, I received a Master's in Arts and Teaching from Seattle Pacific University and began working for the Renton School District. After two years of working in Renton, I chose to move to the Everett School District to be closer to home. This is my seventh year here at Eisenhower.

 

When I am not teaching, I spend the majority of my time either climbing mountains, fishing, or gardening. I live with my husband, 2 year old daughter, a cat, and two ball pythons.
