Summer Reading

If students are entering grade 6, they should have a copy of the book Wonder they received at their local elementary. Students who have previously read Wonder were given four additional titles from which to choose. These students may also visit their local elementary school in the summer to check out additional books. All students who are starting at Gateway as sixth graders will be reading Wonder, or one of the four additional titles, even if they will be entering our 6th grade honors program.
The Summer Reading Adventure brochures, which have full instructions, can be viewed and printed from here:

If you have a problem accessing AR, please email LMS@everettsd.org

To take an Accelerated Reader test, please visit AR Login and use your six digit student ID number and the same password you use at school.

NOTE: Access to the AR testing site is open for the summer between July 1st and August 31.  If you are unable to enter the site, it is because we only have a license for that time period.
If you were unable to pass an AR test with the required 70% score, or if an AR test was not available for a particular title, we ask you to complete the alternative assessment for the summer reading program using the Google Form link.  Summer Reading Alternative Assessment  Please note--To take the assessment, which is a Google Form, you must login to the assessment with your school Google Docs account information.  Make sure you are logged out of any personal Google account at home to access your school Google login.
