Welcome to Mrs. Watters' Sixth Grade Science Class

Hello 6th grade students and families,

I just wanted to make sure that the following pages were shared with everyone:

I would like to thank you all, in advance, for your patience as we work to create opportunities for students to maintain science related skills while schools are closed over the next several weeks.  This is definitely a work in progress and any learning opportunities provided should be considered secondary to staying safe and healthy in the upcoming weeks.  First and foremost, please focus on your family's health and well-being, during this challenging time.  Please do not stress out about work completion and do what you can to help out your family right now.
As you have time, PLEASE CHECK THE ONLINE CALENDAR I have linked to my teacher website for activities designed to enhance your science skills and knowledge.  The calendar might refer you to Google Classroom which makes it easier for us to communicate back and forth about your work, as needed.  This time off would also be a great time to try to complete any incomplete or missing assignments you have.  Once you have completed the work, take a picture of it and send it to me through email so that I can mark it off.  Remember that there are links to "Cool Science Websites" and "Other Fun Educational Websites" that you can access from my website anytime, as well.
While we face these uncertain times together, please know that you all are in my thoughts.  Take care of yourselves (wash your hands!) and your families, stay safe and think positive thoughts.

    Welcome to another fantastic year!

I am very excited to have your student in my class this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and development.
I have been teaching for 20 years at the middle school level and more than half of that time has been spent here at Eisenhower.  I earned a degree in Psychology from Western Washington University and a Master's degree in Teaching from Washington State University.
