In April you will have the opportunity to vote on a bond for Everett Public Schools that will focus on improvements throughout the district in safety, space and STEM programs, while ensuring equity for all of our students. There are specific projects proposed for Penny Creek Elementary on the bond, as well as the schools your child may attend in the future. The use of cell phones in the classroom can distract students from instruction, yet can be important to have accessible in case of emergency. With this in mind, the district has adopted a new policy 3246 and procedure 3246P which prohibits cell phone use in the classroom while still providing access for students in case of emergency.
Elementary school students who choose to bring cell phones to school may only use them before or after the school day. During the school day, they must be powered off and stored (e.g., in the student’s backpack, locker, other district provided storage). There will be storage in the classroom so, in the event of an emergency, the cell phones will be accessible without leaving the classroom.
Please view our registration information for all documents necessary to complete your student's registration. Complete packets may be downloaded to print at home or picked up at the school office.

If your student is absent from school, please email the attendance office at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know the following:
Do you have a medical appointment for your child, or they were sick and you brought them to the doctor? If so, make sure to ask for a medical note that you can turn in to the attendance office. Those absences can then be coded as a medical excuse.
Please fill out a Prearranged Absence Form if your student will be going on vacation/traveling or will miss school for an extended period of time.
An automated email/phone message notification of your student's absence will be sent by 10 a.m. each school day. If you report your student's absence AFTER 9:15 a.m., we thank you for the information, but please know, you will still receive the automated notifcation at 10 a.m.
