Hello Students and Families,
It's hard to believe that we are nearing the end of school year. We can and will finish strong! This week we do not have school on Friday - however, I strongly encourage you to use that time to catch up on missing or incomplete work.
I am still missing you and seeing you each day. I miss being in the classroom with you, learning and having fun. Take time to rejuvinate - if you are feeling stuck or anxious, try taking a break. Even better - try out a Virtual Calming room! Click on the link below and explore!
- You can select a “room” to go into – try one of those out by selecting it, listening with headphones, laying down.
- Try out one of the visual relaxation videos – l liked the glitter and aquarium videos
- Try out the sounds – do you like the sound of rain or storms?
- Try out guided practice – try out the breathing exercises and easy relaxation for kids video
Why stay engaged? Remember - brains are like muscles and needs to stay fit with daily exercise! Please review the district website as it compiled resources for families specific to grade bands to help students stay engaged in their learning. Also, please click on the links to the left for Weekly Activities for 6th grade ELA and 8th Math. I will also send the same information to you in an email and will post it on my google classrooms.
