Welcome to another fantastic year!
I am very excited to have your student in my class this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and development.
I love middle school math because it has such practical applications; we adults use this middle-level math every day! Taxes, tipping, figuring out which peanut butter is the cheapest per ounce! The problem-solving that students learn in middle school math will help them for the rest of their lives, and I feel honored to assist in their learning. ALL HOMEWORK CAN BE FOUND ON YOUR STUDENT'S CANVAS ACCOUNT
I am also excited to teach 7th grade Engineering and Robotics this year, and to coach the Robotics team! What a great opportunity to help students learn their cooperative and problem-solving potentials! (And who doesn't think robots are cool???). ASSIGNMENTS CAN BE FOUND ON OUR GOOGLE CLASSROOM
I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a BA in Psychology and from Argosy University with an MA in Curriculum and Instruction. My teaching endorsement is in Middle School Mathematics.
I welcome ANY of your questions or concerns and am available almost always by email.
My district email is email@example.com
. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you want to! :-) I'd love to be able to email parents any updates from our class. You can either email me, or print and fill out this form: Parent email form
I'd also like to get to know your student through YOUR eyes. If you haven't already written me a letter about your student (In a million words or less), please look through this "care-giver homework assignment" and either email me, or have your student bring a written copy to class. A million or less (less please!) :-)
I use ClassDojo to track students' behavior and to be able to reward excellent behavior! If you are interested in tracking your student's behavior, please email me and I can give you your unique ClassDojo parent code.
