• I was born and raised in the Skagit Valley of Washington State.

I graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle, with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science.  In 2009, I moved to Boston to attend the University of Massachusetts and earned a M.A. in Education.  There I taught middle school math for Boston Public Schools for 10 years.  At this time, I also attended Boston University to complete a Certificate in Creative Educational Leadership.  In 2019, I returned to Washington State to teach middle school math in a special education setting at the Heatherwood Middle School!

I love to adventure outside by going on hikes, swimming in lakes and the ocean, and exploring new areas.  I also have a huge family that I love to spend all of my time with!
