• logo Welcome and I am excited to start the new year with your student!  This will be my twelth year teaching and my third year at Heatherwood Middle School.  I received my bachelors degree in Biology and my Masters of Education from Southern Oregon University. My wife teaches first grade at Cedarwood Elementary.  I have two daughters at home!  Mia is full of energy and is going into the 1st grade and Brynlee is extremely kind and going into the 4th grade.  I understand the trials and struggles of working from home and managing my kids at the same time.  Sometimes I feel I am in a circus!  With that said, please communicate with me any issues or anyway I can better support you, your student, and your family in these unpecedented times.  We are all excited to be here and I am excited to have your student in my class!

The best way to keep up with your students is to use the canvas link  I will be creating modules for each science class that are based in canvas.  We will have live zoom classes, fun 6th grade science videos, and much more!  My canvas page has much more information about curriculum and how I plan on structuring the class.

I am very excited to have your child in my class this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and development.
I have zoom links on my canvas page for the first day of school zoom links (by period) as well as conference zoom links.  I have attached a tutoriol on how you can log in to canvas below.  I will be sending out a Parent Letter that also links to zoom invites for next week and explains a little about myself and the class.  The first parent letter will mainly serve as information for the first week and Canvas.  I am trying to put the zoom links everywhere I safely can in order to try and make it easier for you and your student.  Once we establish a routine, things will be much easier.
Please feel free to contact via email.  I have attached a link to my email below.
