I was born and raised on the beautiful island of O'ahu. Upon graduating from high school, I decided to make my journey up here to the "mainland". I attended the University of Washington in Seattle and received my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Accounting. After six years in the business industry, I decided that I wanted to make a change with regards to my career.
I went back to school and got my teaching certification from Central Washington University. I got my start at Heatherwood Middle School, where I did my student teaching. My first teaching position was at the high school level. After six incredible years at Everett High School, I was fortunate enough to be able to come back down to the middle school level. In Spring 2014, I received my Masters Degree in Education from the University of Washington, Bothell. In November 2014, I became a National Board Certified Teacher. It has been an amazing journey and I am loving every minute of it! Can life be any better?
When I am not working on math problems, I enjoy watching Seattle sports and cheering on the Huskies, Mariners, Seahawks and Sounders with my husband, son, and cats!
