  • Mrs. Rickert Welcome to another fantastic year at Heatherwood Middle School! 
     
    The learning platform that will be used in my 6th Grade Math class is Canvas. You will find a link to the Canvas website on the right side of this page.  Along with the Canvas link, you can also find links to Illustrative Math (Kendall Hunt) online textbook/resources and Khan Academy. These are the resources that will help students and parents navigate through the learning process.  
     
    Parents: if your child is struggling to understand the information from the workbook, I have another way you could help them. On the left side of the page, you will find a quick link called "Illustrative Math". If you click on the link, it will show you how to get to the online resources. Once you Launch Curriculum, please click on "For Families" for the parent book. This link/book will help you to support your child. If your child wants to access the online workbook, they can click on the "For Students".
     
    If students or parents are ever in doubt as to what learning opportunities are available, you will want to take a look at the Canvas calendar. The calendar will let you know day by day which activities were recommended.
