Mr. Soler
This is my 9th year teaching in Everett School district. This is my 2nd year at Everett High School after teaching seven years at Henry Jackson High School. I am super excited to be teaching here and I am looking forward to meeting everyone! A little something about myself. I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Skagit Valley. I grew up scurrying about the countryside, roaming the hills and mountains of our beautiful North West. I have been a visual artist in the greater community for the last 25 years. I went to U.W. for my undergraduate degrees where I formally studied painting, sculpture, ceramics, print making, photography, and a few other mediums. I enjoy creating, and I enjoy teaching to create. To full fill this desire, I went back and got my master in teaching degree from Western Washington Woodring College. During my years of study I have lived and worked in Seattle, Chicago, and even a short stay in Italy. Additionally, I have six years of experience as a paraeducator for the Mount Vernon School District, and taught visual arts in Oak Harbor School District for two years. In my free time I draw, paint, play sports, and return to boyhood dreams of exploring the great outdoors. This will be a great year of exploration in the classroom and I again hope to see everyone along the way.
