    Welcome to the STRIVE Program!
I am a proud graduate of University of Maryland and City University. I started my teaching career in September 2010 at Everett High School and continue to my career here at Everett High. I was previously a massage therapist. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, a Master's Degree in Teaching Special Education P-12, and am Nationally Board Certified. I enjoy teaching students to learn various vocation and academic skills. I look forward to helping adult students and families have a successful transition into life after P-12 education through teaching skills and connecting them with services needed.

As we go through this lengthy school closure, I will be uploading activities on OneNote 2016. This is a platform that students have used with assistance in the classroom, so they are familiar with it. I sent home directions on how to access this platform with student on March 13, 2020. Additionally, if you are not able to pull up this information through the shortcut we created on the computer, you can access it through Office 365. If you have any trouble with accessing material for the students in OneNote, please email me at kcain@everettsd.org. You can do this through the student's outlook account or through your own personal email. I will be checking email multiple times a day through this closure and I am here to help.

In the links section on this website, I have uploaded internet links of websites that we have used in class throughout the last couple years.

For families who have not had IEP meetings yet this year, I will still be reaching out to you. We will still be holding meetings at this time through either phone conference, Zoom, or another format.

I am still here to support our students to the best of my abilities in the capcity that I am able to. On behalf my myslef and my para educators, I can truely say that we miss our students and cannot wait to see them when schools open again. Take care and stay healthy!
