Mr. Kernan's Biography
I graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. After graduating college I was employed in various positions that included working construction, running my own business, and working as an environmental consultant. I went back to school to get my teaching certificate and a Masters in Education from Antioch University in Seattle. I am currently teaching Biology and the Environment (BATE) and AP Environmental Science at Everett High School. This year will be my sixteenth year teaching at EHS. I have also taught Astronomy, Environmental Systems Biology, Coordinated Science, Honors Coordinated Science, and also substituted in various other courses in the Everett School District.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy being in the outdoors whether it is working in my garden, camping, hiking, boating, or enjoying the weather with my family.
Now that you know a little bit about me I want to learn a little about you. Please introduce yourself to me by e-mailing a brief statement about yourself and what you hope to accomplish during this Science course. For parents and guardians tell me what are some ways that I can help your student be successful in Science.
